The raining season has extended its stay till May. We have been able to continue our outreach to the cocoa farmers and have met with very challenging road, weather and yes flooding as well as landslides .
On Friday, we had a buying scheduled in Vitilevu and unfortunately it has to be cancelled due to flooding and a landslide. The cocoa farmers have been depending for cash for their cocoa beans during these Corona economic crises in Fiji. Cacaofiji has been able to continue their outreach in these important times in both the islands of Vanua and Viti Levu . The cocoa farmers have realised the importance of cocoa farming in these difficult times as a valuable source of income.
